Our range of driving adaptations allows even the most severely less able bodied individual to be able to have the freedom to drive and get about. Mechanical Hand Controls:-

Multi-Drive Push Pull Mechanical Hand Control

The Elap Multi-Drive Push Pull Hand Controls have been developed to offer a simple and cost effective solution to allow the acceleration and braking actions to be applied via your hands rather than legs.

Its simple operation is easy to understand and most do not struggle to adapt their driving style.

The operation of the brake and accelerator is fully mechanical so if you are driving long distances or have less upper body strength we would recommend one of our large range of electronic hand controls such as the electronic trigger accelerator and brake system.

The Multi-Drive Push Pull can be supplied with an indicator switch for both non-multiplex and multiplex vehicles as an extra low cost option. If you are unsure if your vehicle is multiplex or not, please call our customer solutions team who will advise you accordingly.

Electronic Hand Controls:-

Electronic Ring Accelerator
The electronic ring accelerator is one of the most advanced driving adaptations available. It provides a light and non-tiring acceleration control with a positive and comfortable response.
Electronic Trigger Accelerator
The electronic 'trigger' accelerator and combined brake lever provides an easy to use and extremely versatile accelerator/brake system. Upon pressing the lever for braking the accelerator is automatically 'cut' for safety. Finished with injection moulded plastic and leather covered handle.


Electronic Satellite Accelerator
The Satellite accelerator provides the ultimate in versatility. Held in the hand, left or right, simply pressing the thumb button down provides a very smooth and effortless driving solution.The Satellite accelerator can either be fitted 'stand alone' or in conjunction with the accelerator ring.Again, available to fit virtually all vehicles in either mechanical or fully electronic 'interface' versions.
Electronic Under-Ring Accelerator
The electronic Under Ring accelerator is similar in principle to the over ring shown above but is positioned under the steering wheel. Most suited for people with reasonable dexterity in their fingers the under ring accelerator provides a truly natural acceleration.
Radial Accelerator
The Radial accelerator provides an alternative to the standard push-pull hand controls. Acceleration is performed by simply pushing downwards on the lever in a slight radial action. Braking is accomplished by pushing the lever away from the body. A Unique safety feature is the automatic 'cutting' of the accelerator when braking is applied.
907 Brake Lever
The 907-C Brake Lever compliments all the accelerator systems and is the result of over 30 years of continued development. Again utilising both injection moulded covers and leather finished lever provides a quality feel. In operation the lever is simply pushed away from the body to promote braking.
Floor Mounted Accelerator & Brake
The floor mounted accelerator and brake is one of the most advanced driving adaptations available and can control acceleration electronically or mechanically. It provides a light and non-tiring acceleration control with a positive and comfortable response. The system is designed not only to operate effortlessly but also to ‘blend in’ with the vehicles interior producing that original equipment ‘feel’

Left Foot Accelerator - Premium Drive
The Elap Quick release left foot accelerator Premium Drive is an upgrade to our existing left foot accelerator. In addition it offers a spring loaded accelerator pedal to ensure maximum acceleration can be obtained and also provides a choice of two guard angles to ensure optimum protection.

Elap Freedom - Electronic Gas & Brake

The Elap Freedom has been developed to allow full acceleration and braking control by simply operating a light level.

The handset is available in 3 options, however specific customisation can be
undertaken to suit your needs.
Elap Total Drive

Sometimes 'out of the box' doesn’t fit your individual needs, that is why we have developed the 'Elap Total Drive' solution. The concept centres around a thorough customer assessment working with technical team to create a bespoke driving solution for your needs, this could involve anything from special seating to joystick steering. Once the assessment is complete a project is launched to build your vehicle, keeping you involved a regular intervals.
