What we do

We specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of mobility products to assist your independence. We also undertake bespoke projects where your needs are very specific and perhaps there is not an off-the-shelf product available.

We will help you to choose the right product and are happy to visit you anywhere in the UK to demonstrate our products.

Full UK and Ireland Coverage
Our head office is based in Lancashire; from here we operate a nationwide service with technicians based across the country, along with 150 accredited partners to support us.

From the moment you contact us we will hand-hold you through the process of choosing the right product, having your product installed, and familiarisation.

We are more than happy to demonstrate any of our motoring products at your home, wherever you live, as we believe it’s important that you have all the information to make the right choice when choosing your motoring solution.

ELAP Accredited Adaptation Partners
We have over 150 accredited adaptation partners in the UK and these companies meet our exacting technical and service standards as well as committing to regular product training.

It’s important that your Elap product is fitted by an accredited partner, keep a look out for our accredited adaptation partner logo shown below.

Safety & Testing Programmes
Elap are known for setting the standards when it comes to testing programmes for vehicle adaptations, as such our testing methods are industry-leading.

We pride ourselves in continual testing programmes for our wide product range. We also test our products for safety in various vehicle designs and scenarios.

We test for a variety of safety issues, depending on the particular product; for example, our seating systems are pull-tested to industry standards and, where appropriate, are dynamically sled-tested to ensure safety.

To complement our internal testing programmes, we partner with worldwide leaders, such as Manchester Metropolitan University, to verify our programmes and perform additional independent testing.
